Easy Podcasting
Posted on November 06, 2009 by Tom Guard
It used to be called Utterz.com, now it’s Utterli.com. So what is Utterli all about? It’s kind of like a Twitter on steroids. You can mix and mash text, pics, video and voice in one post for sharing with your friends and groups at Utterli and across all of your social web profiles. What I love most about Utterli is the fact that I can post podcast to my blog from my phone. I just dial the number, speak and within minutes my Utterli-podcast is posted to my Utterli page and to this
blog. I hate doing podcasts with a microphone because sometimes I get so tense and stutter or say “ummmm” a lot. So speaking into a phone to make a podcast feels like I’m leaving a message on my friend’s voice mail.
The cross posting feature is great. You can choose different sites you want your posts to go to. It will wait 10 minutes to auto-post so you can make any changes you wish to choose.
You can add friends to your Utterli page just like you do with Twitter. You can listen to your friends’ utterz from the web or have a “robot” read them to you when you call the phone number you use for podcasting.
Utterli helps you create and follow discussions with friends or new people with similar interests. You can create or join a discussion from any mobile phone or computer. Utters are cool because they can be audio, video, pictures and text, and it’s really easy to post to your other online profile pages.
Besides the cross posting feature, you can share utters almost any way you want. Grab an Utterli Widget to put on your page. A widget will stream any combination of utters – those from a Group, with a particular tag or tags, or from you and a bunch of your contacts. You can also embed individual utters by clicking the link under ‘Send It.’ If you just want to send your utter to a friend, you can e-mail it under ‘Send It’ or put it directly into Utterli Contacts’ inbox by clicking the ‘contacts’ button under ‘Send It.’
Do you use Utterli? What do you think of it?
